Description Hypoallergenic amino acid formula designed for infants and children with severe cow's milk protein allergies, multiple food intolerances, or when an elemental diet is necessary. Nutramigen Puramino is lactose-free and contains DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid that supports normal infant visual development*. Medium-chain triglyceride oil provides a readily available source of fat and energy in cases of fat malabsorption. Do not switch formulas without consulting your pediatrician, who will also recommend introducing complementary foods into the diet during weaning. Nutramigen Puramino, due to its special formulation, does not taste or smell like infant formula. Infants fed Nutramigen Puramino may have frequent, soft, green to dark stools.
*With a daily DHA intake of 100 mg.
