How to use
Please note that no sweat or cosmetics should be present on the forehead and that taking medication and skin irritations can alter the result when measuring the temperature on the forehead.
1. Press the Power/Measurement button for 1 second to turn on the thermometer. After a correct detection, the device emits an acoustic signal.
2. Initially, all symbols are displayed on the display. The last measured temperature will be displayed.
3. Press and hold the "Turn on/Measure" button and move the thermometer on the forehead in uniform motion passing from one temple to the other.
4. Release the "Ignition/Measurement" button. The end of the measurement is signaled with a short beep and the measured value is displayed on the backlit display for 5 seconds.
5. Read the recorded temperature on the LCD display.
6. If no keys are pressed for 1 minute: the device flashes for 2 seconds and then switches off.
7. If the temperature measurement is below 38 °C, a smiley face will appear next to the reading. If the reading is 38 °C or higher, a "Sad Face" will be displayed.
NOTE:
Attempts to detect temperature from body parts other than the forehead can produce inaccurate results.
While reading, the patient must remain immobile.
Infrared frontal temperature readings are equivalent to oral temperature readings. In all these cases, consult your doctor.
The readings detected during sleep should not be directly compared with the readings taken during wakefulness, since in the first case the body temperature is usually lower.
Avoid temperature measurements in the 30 minutes following physical activity, bathing or bathing or re-entry from the open.
This thermometer can be used by children only under the supervision of an adult.
The use of the thermometer on several people may be inappropriate in the case of some acute infectious diseases, due to the possible transmission of germs and bacteria that could occur despite cleaning and disinfection of the appliance. For any doubts, consult your doctor.
